Beauty Parlors and Salons License Registration Guidelines

Beauty Parlors and Salons License Registration Guidelines: Punjab Government has initiated a drive to register all of the province's beauty parlours and haircutting salons for men and women. Through national newspapers, the full step-by-step process and registration and licensing criteria have been advertised. The ad was crafted in such a beautiful and self-explanatory way that it made the whole process easily comprehensible.
With the change in lifestyles and an increasing number of working women, demand for beauty parlours, gents salons, hamam, and spas has increased. With this high demand, there have arisen many beauty parlours and salons in both urban and rural areas. Yet unfortunately, there was no department or agency that looked after and supervised the cleanliness and hygiene of those salons. Thus, due to some unhealthy activities of the beauty salons, there were chances of transmitting viral diseases as they were experts in their field but do not have adequate training about the requirements of health practices.

This initiative was taken as a step of the Government of Punjab's Hepatitis and Infection Control System of Directorate General Health Services, Department of Primary and Secondary Health Care.
